A new breakthrough in UHV technology! Successful test of new generation a million volt transformer.

On Oct. 28, TBEA (20.730, -0.94, -4.34%) was informed that the new generation of direct outlet 1000kV AC extra-high voltage transformer produced by TBEA recently passed all the tests at one time, and TBEA became the first company in China to pass all the tests of the new generation of megavolt transformer at one time.

In order to meet the high reliability of high-altitude equipment, TBEA set up a special research group and passed the product development at one time after many special demonstrations and guidance from the State Grid and industry experts.

The product adopts a new direct outlet device for the first time and fixes it on the body, avoiding the risks brought by the process of disassembling and reassembling on site after the test of indirect outlet device; adopts a new coil insulation structure for the first time to further improve the insulation characteristics, short-circuit resistance, temperature rise distribution and workshop production process of the product, especially to meet the requirements of transformer temperature rise in high altitude areas; adopts a new oil tank explosion-proof design concept for the first time, significantly improving the transformer's explosion-proof performance. With the application of these new technologies, the technical performance of the new generation of mega-voltage transformers surpasses that of its predecessors, reducing the total loss by more than 80kW and significantly improving the energy efficiency level of the products.

The successful test of the new generation of million volt transformer not only improves the safety and stability of China's AC transformer operation in high altitude areas, but also plays a very important role in the consumption of clean energy and ensuring the stable operation of the power grid.
